The AJ Wall Lamp by Louis Poulsen was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1957 for Copenhagen’s SAS Royal Hotel. Its distinctive geometric shade provides pleasant downward light and can be tilted for adjustable illumination. With its clean lines and sculptural form, it remains one of Jacobsen’s most internationally recognized lighting designs.
The fixture emits downward-directed light. The angle of the screen can be adjusted approximately 90 degrees up and down and 60 degrees to each side to optimize light distribution. The shade is painted white on the inside to ensure a soft, comfortable light.
