The Opal Shade pendant lamp, designed by Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen in the 1950s, is a Danish design classic that has been re-released by Warm Nordic. An elegant combination of perforated metal shade and white opal glass diffuser, Opal Shade provides a pleasant indirect light for example in the dining area or living room. The silky matt lacquer and brass details give the lamp a soft and sophisticated finish.

Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen (1913-2004) was a Danish designer who is best known for his wide collection of light fixtures. A licensed ornamental metalworker, Holm-Sørensen started his design career in the 1950s, and many on his designs feature metal surface with different ornaments and perforations. Besides luminaires, Holm-Sørensen also designed furniture and small items.
